Marine Corps Pay Chart 2026 and 2025
The Marine Corps pays basic monthly pay from about $2,320 for a new E-1 to over $19,000 for a four-star general in 2026. USMC basic pay follows the unified DoD pay table — a Marine and a soldier at the same rank and years of service earn identical base pay. Differences in total compensation come from special pays, location-based BAH, and deployment frequency.
The FY2026 NDAA applied a 3.8% across-the-board raise effective January 1, 2026. The 2025 rates reflected a 4.5% general raise plus a targeted ~10% boost for junior enlisted Marines (E-1 to E-4) on April 1, 2025 under the FY2025 NDAA.

USMC Pay vs Army Pay vs Navy Pay
USMC basic pay is identical to Army and Navy at the same rank and years of service — the DoD operates one unified table for all branches. Real differences come from BAH location mix (Marines cluster around Pendleton, Lejeune, Okinawa), Sea Pay eligibility, deployment tempo, and Selective Re-enlistment Bonus multipliers. A Marine E-5 with 6 years and an Army Sergeant with 6 years both earn $3,628/mo in 2026.
