How Space Force monthly pay works
USSF pay runs on the unified DoD basic pay table — same as Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard. A Spc4 with 4 years earns the same basic as an Army Specialist (E-4) or Navy PO3.
What trips people up is the rank label mismatch. When USSF rolled out its own enlisted structure in 2021, it dropped USAF Airman tier and introduced Spc1-Spc4. Most online calculators still show USAF names. The calculator above uses correct USSF labels.
For full grade-by-grade tables, see the Space Force pay chart and broader enlisted / officer pay charts.
USSF-specific pay rules
- No warrant officers.
- No sea pay.
- No flight pay for non-rated Guardians. ACIP only for prior-rated USAF transfers.
- CZTE still applies in designated combat zones.
